Although  Vishay is a discrete semiconductor and all-around passive component  factory, it produces various types of components such as MLCCs,  resistors, inductors and MOSFETs. The market share of resistors is about  2%, and the market share of inductors is about 2.24%. MLCC is not among  the top ten in the world. The  scale of production capacity is not enough to affect the industry. The  industry pointed out that Vishay's product quality is not bad, but the  small output, high price, long delivery period, can not be due to an  emergency single, for a large amount of standard MLCC, the customer will  have doubts, The EMS factory will not consider Vishay in order of procurement unless the brand factory has adopted it.

However,  the MLCC shortage from the beginning of last year has forced Japan and  the United States to start production capacity adjustments. In 2016,  Chinese and Japanese companies TDK announced the general MLCC fade out.  Since 2018, Kyocera and Murata have announced production capacity for  medium and low capacity products. Adjustments  will indirectly result in the release of the factory. As the MLCC gap  in the vehicle regulations is also around 20%, the industry believes  that Japanese companies with a total market share of up to 60% will  continue to reduce their production capacity in the consumer sector.
